Vincent Enyeama, Lille FC goalkeeper, has been ruled out for the rest of the season after sustaining a knee injury.

Enyeama, who joined Lille in June 2011, will not feature for the club again this season.

“Vincent Enyeama will be out for the rest of the season. #CourageVincent,” Lille tweeted on Thursday.

Since the announcement was made, Lille fans have taken to Twitter to sympathise with the 34-year old Nigerian.

Enyeama retired from the Super Eagles on October 8, 2015, after playing 101 times for the Nigerian national team.

The wall of Lille, as he’s fondly called, has played 34 times for the French club this season.
